Hello, I’m Dean! I’m a multidisciplinary designer living and working in Chicago, Illinois.

During this life I’ve taken to many different forms of making, from illustration to typography, design to web development. Through all of this growth, I’ve learned that the key to creativity is understanding the relationship dynamics within a creative problem. I believe that the greatest outcome is reached when all parties — whether client, friend, or partner — coalesce around mutual trust and shared vision. Nurturing this creative spirit is my most rewarding act of creation.

Over 9 years of work in creative agencies, I've collaborated with a range of clientele in the areas of higher education, philanthropy, consumer tech, software, government, and more. During this time I've been described by clients and managers as a human Swiss-Army knife, a perfectionist, and a quintessential team player. I'm committed to people and my creative/integral values, and to fostering a kindred spirit in each client along the way. One thing is certain: I'm here to work hard while making the world more beautiful — and to do it as altruistically and authentically as possible.
